Last night by the store in Petite Riviere I came upon a nice migrant group of birds.
There were numbers of yellow-rumped warblers with some other warblers mixed in as well as
red-eyed vireo, black-capped chickadees and a hairy woodpecker.

HI all,
I wonder -- if you could determine such a thing -- whether these typical little migrant
groups, at this time of year, tend to contain a greater than expected proportion of
young-of-the-year. (I picture a bunch of "misfit teens" all hanging out
together!)
